Dahée ZOE was born into a traditional noble family in Korea in 1994 . She was educated in values rooted in Confucianism but from a very young age, she was also immersed in American culture.
She was soon inspired by photography and began working professionally at the age of 17. When she was 18, she moved to Paris where she studied photography at the Efet school of photography and audiovisual studies. She also started working with fashion magazines. Her first exhibition, Je te regarde, is now running in Seoul.
She seeks to depict her Korean culture through photography, reproducing the codes of the Korean aristocracy (now a thing of the past). Dahée remains nostalgic for that era and tries to bring it up-to-date with a her own modern take.
