Until May 18, 2025, the Haut de France Centre Régional de la Photographie presents Arlene Gottfried, Singing Photographer, in partnership with Les Douches la Galerie.
New York, in the 1970s and 1990s, is the scene of irresistible social diversity, revealing a gallery of characters, each more eccentric than the last. With humor and tenderness, American photographer Arlene Gottfried (1950-2017) made a portrait of her hometown with a thousand faces, finding in working-class neighborhoods a breath of life and freedom that never ceased to inspire her.
