Starting tomorrow during three days, the Southern French city of Toulon will see its streets dedicated to contemporary photography. The city of Toulon inaugurates the so-called Rue des Arts (The Street of Arts), a program of urban renewal of its historic center that celebrates culture. Photography will be permanently hung on facades and street corners while shops, art galleries and bars will be exposing all summer long artists.
The festivities will begin with the inauguration of the exhibition Là où ça danse (Where it dances) by Marikel Lahana and Lore Stessel, curated by Anne-Cartier Bresson and Christian Gattinoni. On the same Friday, Rue des Arts will be inaugurated by Mayor Hubert Falco (LR).
