SelvaSP is an amateur street collective that finds a way to maintain a relationship with São Paulo through photography. They aren’t mere observers. They get involved in the city’s complex web of relations. “We believe that the photographs of the paths we’ve taken can lead to a better understanding of urban lifestyle, opening a dialogue with the city. It is very rewarding for us to create stories in a collective way, immersing ourselves in the world of different artists, discussing each of their methods. It’s a way to deal with this immense and chaotic contemporary collection that is the city. These diptychs are the the result of this exercise in joint production, originally envisioned as the double pages of a book. They explore the possibilities of encounters in the city.”
