Christie’s sold this past week Helmut Newton’s “Big Nude III” (Variation), Paris, photographed in 1980 and printed in the 1990s, sold for US$2.34 million. And as Christie’s Darius Himes states : “It is a new World Record at auction for a photograph by this handsome young chap, Helmut Newton!”
