This time it’s all about Syria. Indeed, I just spent a few weeks over there for a tough work with my French agency HAYTHAM PICTURES. It was hard to make a great selection of what’s happening there with only 15 pictures, there’s too much to show and explain – but I did it.
I want to express the feelings that I have in that country. It’s a big disaster as you can imagine easily… That why I wanted to call my exhibit THE SYRIAN SHORT TIMERS as a reminder of the book from Gustav Hasford which was talking about the big mess of the American Vietnam’s war. As usual in such long wars, everything is becoming hard and horrible.
The subject is quite simple. The work is not. And now I think it’s very important to show some parts of it.
