The Centre de la photographie Genève announces the release of the first two publications of its new editorial project, Superscripte. Texts on contemporary photography. This series offers introductory and synthetic texts on contemporary photographic practices in all their diversity, through the prism of a single notion – exposure, violence, the image-object or ecology. Designed for photographers, art historians, students or simply the curious, this series aims to provide keys for understanding certain themes or photographic forms, omnipresent in today’s visual culture. By combining works written by artists, researchers, or even critics, the aim is to promote personal subjectivities and the skills that arise from different ways of thinking about images.
The works, published by Éditions du Centre de la Photographie Genève, will be printed in pocket format, in a design developed by the Lausanne studio Balmer Hählen. They will be distributed free of charge in ebook form on our site.
