The Other Art Fair (TOAF) begins this weekend in London. After moving to Bristol, New York, Sidney, Melbourne, the fair comes to the British capital. Organized by the Saatchi’s gallery, it is one of the largest contemporary art fairs for emerging artists in the world. It is distinguished by an original selling system: it is possible to buy works directly from artists, without going through intermediaries or galleries. It will offer visitors works ranging from sculpture to painting, from photography to drawings and works on paper.
Since its creation in 2011 by its director Ryan Stanier, TOAF has attracted more than 167,000 visitors. Last year, nearly 60% of buyers were primoclients (buying a work of art for the first time). It will present approximately 130 artists this year.
The fair will be held at the Old Truman Brewery in the eastern part of London.
