The Camera Clara Photo Prize was created in 2012 by Josephine de Bodinat Moreno, President of the Fondation Grésigny, which was founded in 2009 to fund charitable projects of a social, cultural or environmental nature. The call for applications of this 3rd edition runs through July 15, 2014, and will be awarded to a work of photography.
Julien Chatelin was the 2013 prize winner with his series Egypotrama, an ongoing series which combines documentary and art photography. The finalists were Joël Denot and Helene Schmitz. The three series are currently on display at Central Dupon Images in Paris through April 5, 2014. The first edition of the prize was awarded to two photographers, Yveline Loiseur and Virgile Ittah, with the three finalists Léonora Hamille, Thibaut Cuisset and Frédéric Delangle.
To participate, you have until July 15, 2014 to submit an application. The Camera Clara Photo Prize is open to all living photographers over 18 regardless of nationality. The winner will receive 6000 euros.
