Paris Photo and the Picto Foundation are organizing the Carte Blanche Étudiants 2017 contest. Seen from 9 to 12 November 2017, Paris Photo is the first international exhibition devoted to photography. This prize is designed to promote young emerging photography. Four students will be selected from more than 50 schools of photography and visual arts in Europe.
The jury is composed of Laia Abril (artist), Sylvain Bailly (SNCF, director of cultural affairs at Gares & Connexions), Nathalie Mamane Cohen (collector), Vincent Marcilhacy (Picto Foundation, director), Mouna Mekouar (curator), Anael Pigeat (Artpress, Editor-in-Chief) and Christoph Wiesner (Paris Photo, Artistic Director).
The four winners will win a pass for Paris Photo to meet gallerists, curators and artists. A roundtable discussion on “the arrival of young talents in the art market” will also be organized. Finally, their work will be shown in the Gare du Nord (Paris).
