This year, the Les femmes s’exposent festival in Houlgate Normandy offers 2 awards to encourage a greater diversity of views on the world:
The FUJIFILM award will reward a photographic subject related to CLIMATE:
While the new IPCC report reminds us of the human origin of climate change and the urgency to act, the photographic projects proposed will be able to document or illustrate one or more aspects related to the climate: its challenges, lived or imaginary realities, utopias or struggles, individually or collectively. Whether the reportage is produced in France or internationally.
This year, the SAIF award offers a reflection on the theme of INTIMACIES:
What does photography reveal about private spaces today? What privacy do we have left of at a time when self-exposure is a fact? The photographic act is about intimacy, trust, secrecy, but also about the public, exposure and unveiling. What can a photograph say about the link to the other and the relationship to oneself? What does the privacy say of the collective? What is the place of the person who photographs in a moment of intimacy? The theme “Intimacy” is an invitation to reveal your own mapping of the intimate.
Candidates must submit their applications before April 30, 2023 at midnight.
The winners will be announced during the opening weekend of the festival, during the screening evening, on Saturday June 10, 2023, at the Houlgate cinema.
