In Paris, in the 20th arrondissement, the first Tangible Image Biennale (BIT20) will be held in November and December. Organized by Platform, the Biennale seeks through exhibitions, live programming and a selection of works “to emancipate themselves from a classic use of the photographic medium.’
The biennale will present exhibitions in several partner venues in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, such as Villa Belleville, the Ménilmontant theater or the Intervalle gallery. The works shown will help open up photography to new mediums, new media and new techniques.
Open since March 15th, the call for applications invites ‘all artists who work with photography as a source medium are invited to participate without age or nationality limit’. Thirty projects will be selected, opening new borders for photography.
Applications will end on June 5th, midnight.
