The Arab Documentary Photography Program fifth edition is currently opened. Designed and directed by the Magnum Foundation in collaboration with the Arab Fund for Culture and Arts (AFAC) and the Prince Claus Fund (PCF), this program supports ‘visual and narrative approaches that challenge conventional narratives about the Arab region‘.
The program is open to all photographers in the Arab world. The laureates will receive support to help them produce their works. Photographers Randa Shaath, Eric Gottesman, Tanya Habjouqa and Peter van Agtmael will accompany each of them for nearly eight months. Two workshops in Beirut will allow students and teachers to discuss their projects.
In five years of existence, the program has supported no less than 38 projects. Photographers can submit photographic projects incorporating video and audio.
