Founded in 1998, the Prix Picto de la Jeune Photographie de Mode aims to highlight the work of an emerging young fashion photographer selected by a jury of professionals. Once again this year, the Laboratoire Picto is committed to helping young artists, and is now accepting applications for the Prix de la jeune photographie de mode 2012.
The prize is open to all photographers. Applicants have until Wednesday, November 14, 2012, to submit their applications. Anyone submitting an application must be 35 years old or younger (from all countries), present a coherent and representative selection of their work (black-and-white or color prints, minimum size 18 x 24 cm), and submit on time the completed application, which should include:
– a paper version of the portfolio
– a signed and completed copy of the application form
– a CD containing images from the portfolio in low definition images + 2 high-definition images + a summary of the photographer’s background (15 lines maximum) in Word format.
Applications must be sent to Sylvia Besnard before the deadline on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at 18h (6 P.M.)

A pre-selection of the submitted portfolios will be released on Thursday, November 15, and the list of pre-selected candidates will be put online at www.picto.fr on Monday, November 19, 2012. All pre-selected photographers must commit themselves to be present on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, on the evening of the awards ceremony.
