The dolls hotel
Paris. Near Pigalle, prostitution’s historic neighborhood, a private hotel inhabited by 60 Latin-American transsexuals. A haven for these “homos” as they refer to each other. But also a ghetto mainstream society “imposes” on them. Without the essential pay stubs and guarantees to rent freely in Paris, these Bois de Boulogne prostitutes unite in this particular hotel. Forbidden residence by the hotel manager, Mara Mazzanti, discretely, clandestinely, photographed its inhabitants with tenderness and respect.
