A photographer and journalist since 1972, Bruno Mouron is a reknown scoop specialist. His photographs contributed to numerous covers of Paris Match and international publications. He witnessed the glory years of Daniel Filipacchi’s beacon, under the unflinching gaze, the Eye of Roger Thérond.
Beyond the glossy pages, Bruno Mouron is an artist, whose series on “celebrity trash” has been exhibited throughout the world.
During his career, he put together an impressive collection of Pop Art and Design, part of which was exhibited at the Pompidou Center. He parted with it in 2003 to start a collection of photographs and vintage and contemporary photographic books.
Artcurial will offer this collection for sale on November 30th and December 1st. From the iconic “Windblown Jackie” by Ron Galella, to prints by Sam Haskins or Helmut Newton, including a rare group of over 90 photographs of the film “Blow Up” by Michelangelo Antonioni, Bruno Mouron’s choices are guided by the eye of the paparazzi. The rare and important books he gathered over the years include : “Paris” by Moï Ver, “Métal” by Germaine Krull, or, among a large selection of japanese books, “The Map” by Kawada Kikuji. Numerous books by reknown photographers or covering themes such as eroticism or photographs of the 1970s are also being offered for sale. An opportunity to create a library of photography books, which were carefully selected by a seasoned eye.
