Beijing yesterday at the opening of the Croisements Festival, which celebrates France-China cultural exchanges each year, the publisher Post Wave offered Emmanuel Macron Bruno Barbey’s big book, Color of China, which weighs 4 kilos! An adviser from the Elysée had also contacted me for photos by Marc Riboud, I guided them to the manager of the Marc Riboud Fund at the Guimet Museum, finally two prints by Marc were chosen and offered by Macron to Xi Jinping. As the baguette entered the UNESCO World Heritage Site, what a symbol! Inflation obliges, the long baguette of 1953 only measures now a quarter of what it was.
