Until March 1st, Brest welcomes the 9th edition of the Pluie d’Images festival. With not less than 30 exhibitions organized around the theme of Transit, five professional photographers will be on display.
Holding a Holga, Zhang Xiao brings us to China, discovering the daily life of his inhabitants. His very colorful images are in contrast to the black and white pictures by Michèle Le Braz, who introduces us to a series of Brittany farmers. Marion Gambin went to Kashmir, to document the tourism in the area. Matthias Koch offers trip in time, by focusing on industrial landscapes. Peter Granser is questionning the American way of life of today, and portraying its contradictions.
Various conferences, lectures, projections, meetings and workshop will be held as part of the festival. As in the previous years, the event « Faîtes de la Photo » invites everyone to produce a photo series. On February 2nd, some one way cameras will be given to the participants, who will have to product on the theme « Perspective ».
