We received this portfolio from Brad Walls.
He reminded us of the enchanted parenthesis of the summer Olympic Games.
Here it is with its accompanying text!
Brad Walls presents “Aqualillies” a new 16 image series captured at Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Beach, California. The series invites audiences to experience artistic swimming from a never-before-seen perspective, inspired by the recent Paris Olympic Games.
Walls was drawn to the beauty and complexity of artistic swimming, noting, “It was surprising how few images truly highlight the intricate shapes and patterns created by artistic swimmers.” With an extensive background photographing the artistry of diving, gymnastics, tennis, and ballet, Walls found artistic swimming perfectly aligned with his signature focus on synchronicity and symmetry.
To bring his vision to life, Walls collaborated with the world-renowned Aqualillies, choreographed by Mary Ramsay, a former NCAA Collegiate Champion who has led the team in performances alongside Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, and Maroon 5. Ramsay eagerly embraced the partnership, saying, “Artistic swimmers spend hours every day working to achieve perfection. With Brad’s eye for detail, perspective, and creativity, we were able to showcase our hard work that is often lost to the naked eye.”
