BOYS! BOYS! BOYS!, the programme by The Little Black Gallery to promote queer and gay fine art photography curated and edited by Ghislain Pascal, is currently profiling the work of Canadian underwater photographer Lucas Murnaghan.
Volume 7 of their BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! The Magazine, which has just been published, is dedicated to the memory of Lucas Murnaghan who tragically died of cancer in 2021 at only 45.
Lucas joined the BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! programme at the very beginning, in 2018, and the response to his work was phenomenal. His work was included in multiple BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! sales with now defunct online auction house Paddle8 and in the debut BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! exhibition at The Hospital Club in London. His images have also appeared in all three BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! books (published by The Little Black Gallery, teNeues / MENDO, and Kehrer Verlag).
Not only was Lucas a brilliant photographer but a much admired and loved orthopedic surgeon at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto (Canada). The last couple of years have been very hard for his longtime partner Antonio Lennert. But Antonio is now ready to continue Lucas’s legacy as one of the great underwater photographers.
BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! and The Little Black Gallery show Lucas’s work in both the new BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! Volume 7 The Magazine and online at www.boysboysboys.org
