From the traveling daguerreotypists to contemporary photographers, there has always been a link between travel and photography. For its 23rd edition, the Bordeaux festival Itinéraires des Photographes Voyageurs (Journeys of travelling photographers) offers seventeen exhibitions with travel as their theme. In order to go beyond mere illustration photography, the photographers have been invited to exhibit their personal vision of travel. Among them, we find the series Eurasisme by Fabrice Fouillet, African tableaux by Patrick Willocq and the ethereal Héliotropes of Laurent Villeret.
Applications for the 2014 are already being accepted. You have until October 30 to submit.
