American journalist David Friend will sign his book The Naughty Nineties – Triumph of the American Libido at the International Center for Photography (ICP, New York). It was published by Twelve Books and focuses on the sexual liberation of the 1990s in the United Sates, in the age of mass TV, its popular shows, the public unveiling of privacy, Viagra or American tabloids. This wild freedom, source of an unbridled libido, was documented by the amused eye David Friend. The journalist has for example given portraits of significant actors of this decade, such as the scientists who accidentally discovered Viagra.
The signature of the book will be in the presence of the journalist, Caryl Englander (ICP Board Chair) Jeffrey A. Rosen (ICP Board President) and Mark Lubell (ICP Executive Director).
