The Printemps is Paris
Similar to the project we presented last year at the BnF, Rose is Paris, we have imagined another police fiction, this time taking place at the Printemps department store, and the intrigue, a diamond covered Eiffel Tower.
Our heroine appears on the store’s roof, as if descending from the sky. She wanders through the empty aisles. She gets changed, takes whatever she wants, choosing from the most beautiful dresses. A deck of cards reveals her mission: steal an Eiffel Tower. Suddenly, an armed man in a black suit arrives. Is it an accomplice? A traitor? And if, in the end, it was love that our heroine is about to discover at the Printemps?
Each of the nine different images is associated with a designer and is shot or filmed in black and white. Like in a dream, the images honor Paris, the birthplace and muse of surrealism and cinema.
