PHotoEspaña, International Festival of Photography and Visual Arts, opens the call for entries for the Best Photography Book of the Year Award in the city of Alcalá. This award recognizes the year’s most outstanding photographic editorial work. The call is open to editors and publishing houses of all nationalities. You may submit any photography book published between 1 March 2012 and 1 March 2013.
A jury will be named to evaluate the concept, design and graphic quality of each publication, as well as the trajectory of the publishers, editorial groups and collectives. “Best Photography Book of the Year Award in the city of Alcalá” recognizes editorial works presented in the categories: National, International and Outstanding Publisher of the Year.

• National Category of PHE Photography Book Award: “Máquinas”, from Marín, published by Fundación Telefónica
• International Category of PHE Photography Book Award: “Swarm”, from Lukas Felzmann, published by Lars Müller Publishers
• Outstanding Publisher of the Year Award: Kehrer Verlag (Germany)
