Nature’s Mirror

As the world climate changes and becomes more rainy in our area, I decided to make use of those extra puddles lying around.  We often pass by puddles as we rush on our way after a storm but perhaps we should be looking into the surrealistic world of puddles. Certainly we looked harder at them when we were small and grabbed our boots to stomp on some puddles in our yards or out on the street .We didn’t always look at those puddles, but perhaps we should be examining this representation of a reflected world.  The puddles are mirrors to the soul and present alternate dreams to what we see everyday in our lives.

Quote from Rene Magritte book by Marcel Pacquet

Surrealism results from the unfaithfulness of the reflections printed in the picture, the view of the painter, the view emerging from the depths of perception…The painters eye betrays what it is regarding:  it is error revealing the mystery of things which they otherwise conceal, one of which can only be uncovered through the intervention of art and the intellect.
