Modernism was one of the most influential movements especially in history of architecture. Very underrated nowadays, loved by many architects, designers and artists…misunderstood and criticised by others. Its genuine design, unadorned, pure, geometric forms, abstracted shapes, and bold colors are remarkable. Modernism was primarily a social radical ideology. Architects, designers and artists of this period searched for ways to create a better world through art and design… without success.
My fascination with modernism began many years ago, while studying architecture. Its grew since then to appear in the form shown in this project. I decided to create a sort of an archive focusing mainly on the interior of modernist buildings important for the history of Irish (and not only) architecture.
