For nearly five decades, I’ve had the good fortune to make a living doing something I love; photography. My photographic life has been a continuous “unplanned journey,” as are most of my photographs… unplanned.
My evolution as a photographer led me in many directions. Eventually, I adopted the photographic mantra to “avoid preconceptions,” an approach that prevented me from disappointment in what I did not find and allowed me to remain open to what was actually there.
The results I have brought together in two books, The Color of Light and The Journey. They are a look back at my photographic career… my early beginnings, inspirations, teaching… images including personal work as well as commercial assignments and their backstories from over ninety countries and all seven continents.
