Arnaud Makalou is from the Congo. He lives and works in Brazzaville.
He began taking pictures during the civil war of 1997, working with a
Zenith camera that he inherited from his sister. His first series was
of students at the Savorgnan High School of Brazza where he took
school pictures. In this series, he exposes the harsh reality of
blue-collar workers.
