For a summer, MYOP takes over an old hotel to make it a space for dialogue; photographers share an ethical, political and poetics vision of the world.
Their manifesto? An injunction to see what surrounds us and an invitation to exercise our rights.
Côté Jardin (Garden side), in response to a carte blanche from Amnesty International, MYOP presents an iconography of demonstrations around the world. An exhibition as a collective clamor that reminds us that demonstrating is a right that protects others.
Côté Printemps (Spring Side) – echoing the energy of the crowd – the photographers take you into the intimacy of encounters; to highlight personalities who embody a fight, ordinary citizens who move the lines, anonymous people who suffer the injustice of the world and push us to act.
On both sides of this exhibition there is the same breath, that of commitment, and the same red thread, the courage to change.
