Arles 2020 from day to day by Thierry Maindrault
At La Croisière, it’s the creator at work with his inspirations and his perspiration. Some photographic montages (scissors + glue, photoshop was only an idea) reminds us of the time when poetry still frequented the Moon and where Life dreamed of being lived. Take time in front of these splendid parodies of the press of that time, to read without losing a line. The content of these works is still true today, still eternal isn’t it the purpose of a work of Art? The artist’s spirit invades us in these magical moments of intimate reading.
At the Manuel Rivera Ortiz Foundation, he is still here! No doubt possible when we cross the door of this palace which hosts many exhibitions, four musical notes and a voice (among one of these many voices so particular attached to his musical works) confirm that we can invite ourselves. Some photographs, some photographic collages are strewn among the texts of songs, oh! Just a few, he had written over five hundred. Some of these songs in a loop envelop our ears inside this decor, I am coming to the end of the loop and Arles is in Saint Germain des Prés. Thank you and see you later!
