With a passion for art and the animal world, I opened FLAIR Galerie in Arles in 2015. I had discovered in 1986, through friends, this region that I love so much so, that I’ve lived here for the last eight years. I have always worked in the field of visual art, and, for a long time, I’ve been collecting everything that touches on animal representation, in various forms. The architectural richness and beauty of Arles, its current cultural development, the desire to share this passion for collecting works, naturally led me to open a contemporary art gallery on this theme, to share this infatuation with a larger public. My dog was part of the gallery’s concept. His daily presence gives a supplementary identity to the space. Other than photography, linked to my thirty years of business in this field, I exhibit paintings, drawings, sculptures, illustrations, all combined mediums.
Arles was obvious. It’s a dynamic city, known for its artistic activity. We’re lucky to have this unprecedented economic and cultural development, even if for the moment, the activity remains fragile from being a seasonal operation. In any case, I am very happy to have this adventure!
