Aperture Foundation is presenting its latest book, Henri Cartier-Bresson: Interviews & Conversation 1951-1998. This book presents twelve interviews and conversations given by the iconic French photographer to his peers, close and critics, allowing a better understanding of his work through his thought, his own words and his fully and passionate vision of photography.
Among others subjects evoked are his main influences such as surrealism; the European political situation in the 1930s and 1940s, followed by the European construction; indeed, Magnum Agency, cofounded with Cornell Capa and of course, his reports.
Pierre Assouline Philippe Boegner, Yves Bourde, Yvonne Baby, Alain Desvergnes, Byron Dobell, Daniel Masclet, Gilles Mora, Richard L. Simon, Gilles A. Tiberghien and Sheila Turner-Seed were his interrogators.
