Near and far
Venice remains far away, but a road that crosses the industrial area of Marghera, partly abandoned, leads to a widening space on the lagoon where the inhabitants of the surroundings create their vacation’s dream. A small, close-knit community that performs the ritual of the holiday every Sunday with minimal gestures while in the background the large commercial ships flow arriving from far places, along the Canale dei petroli to get to Marghera.
