Oct 2012, Chinonanquila, Mozambique.
In a little town near Maputo, the capital of Mozambique, children play and have fun.
No electronic games to play, no cartoons to watch on tv, neither mobile phones, nor internet access.
Friendship and creativity are the only things they have.
Their innocence and spontaneity make us remember our past, a time that seemed to be forgotten.
Their smiles are sincere and they are happy in spite of their life condition.
Mozambique has serious problems with AIDS and Malary, the recent civil war left the country in a very bad condition.
The population is really young because the average life expectancy for a man is about 40 years.
Due to this situation there are many children who need assistence, instruction and medical treatment.
Andrea Ammazzalorso was born in Pescara (Italy) on 1968. Since he was 14 years old, he loved to shot with his analogic camera 35mm and to develop his photos in his dark room.
Today the photography isn’t his job but he continues to work in a reserch of a personal style with a digital camera that keeps in his pocket travelling all over the world.
