It’s a kind of space where everything that sums us as human beings is intensively put together. I am looking for this different perfection in humanity. It is interesting for me to expose it through drama, the drama of being. For me it’s like a song that’s about the beauty and drama that can be noticed in everyday routine life. I take a hero and I build a frame around it, I build the expression. The surface and frame borders are shown and it’s fantastic that it is actually possible to define what is the reality behind the frame or more exactly it leaves space for imagination. In this series I wanted to empower the sensation of being present, to make it deep, as there are more and more situations with the same atmosphere – a whole world is being portrayed and becomes real, acquiring rules, characteristics, a certain vibe and personality, the place gets a world of life of its own. Repetition is one of the tools I use to develop a series by giving importance to ordinary things of individual person worlds, to emphasize the details and moods that repeat in every photo. I perform a kind of ritual, and this ritual creates a strong basis for a conditional reality. In my photography, distortion is used as a trauma, a shock, a pain that in still imagery becomes an open wound, a suspense that goes on and on. The uncomfortable situation and the position of the body takes away the secure, certainty sense of things, makes them more weak and vulnerable and allows them to open up.
