Alex Timmermans is a Dutch photographer whose series Storytelling represents a world steeped in mystery, surrealism, and poetry. His images, tinged with humor and sometimes echoing the past, evoke the tales one could find in storybooks. Alex Timmermans transports us through an oneiric universe. The elaborate staging and meticulous elemental choices make us travel between dream and reality.
Alex Timmermans chose to work with traditional tools in order to give depth to his photographs. He used old view cameras and copper lenses, and his photographs were made with wet collodion plates.
