The photographs at HackelBury Fine Art, London, represent a language of contrasts: color and monochrome, light and darkness, order and chaos, abstraction and reality. Nature, in both its fragility and strength, is explored in work by Doug and Mike Starn. William Klein reengages with some of his strongest images, translating his iconic painted contacts into oversized enlargements rendering the artist’s brush strokes immersive and larger than life. A retrospective showcasing William Klein’s work will be presented by The International Center of Photography from June 3 through September 12, 2022.
