In conjunction with his exhibitions and his vision of photography, the New York gallerist Parker Stephenson is placing an emphasis this year on vintage documentary images, including Finnish photographer Sirkka-Liisa Konttinen’s pictures of communities in Northern England, a few shots by Weegee and the neglected modernist Sherril Schell, as well as an astonishing series by French writer and amateur photographer Emile Zola.
