In the 60s, there were few female press photographers. The photographer Odile Montserrat was one of them. She met Serge Gainsbourg in 1967. At that time, photographers were not enemies but friends, to whom people would confess. They were allowed to enter people’s privacy .
This is what Odile Montserrat did: she lived with Serge, Jane Birkin and their children. She kept these pictures without showing them to the general public.
Her daughter, Valeria Attinelli, tells in this book the story behind each photo. She looks at a time when artists were big kid… between mother and daughter memories are mixed up to give us a tender and faithful portrait of Serge Gainsbourg.
