My Manhattan, as the name suggest, is all about Manhattan and how differently we see this vibrant and magnificent city. Through my work as a photo archivist and gallery owner, I have met many amazing, wonderful photographers, most in NYC, at all stages of their careers. I asked these artists to share their artistic impressions of this pulsating city.
Familiar buildings, familiar neighborhoods, and iconic portraits are on view. There are also scenes of everyday street life from the rich and glamorous to the not-so glamorous. My Manhattan is New York City crystal clear and abstract and blurry, in both color and black and white. This is Manhattan in all its glory. If you love Manhattan, this show brings out nostalgia. Images range from the early 1950’s to today, vintage to modern prints.
