Mark Luscombe-Whyte –Mexico

Preview

Mexico is a country very close to my heart, it is a place of constant contradictions, on the one hand throughly modern and the other very traditional. I recently managed to spend a few weeks there travelling across the country with no particular plan apart from looking at people, places and the light. My trip began in Mexico city from where I headed to the West coast and from there over to the Yucatan peninsula and on the way I photographed whatever took my fancy. Here I have presented a few of my favourite images, The Capilla de Capuchinas one of Barragans masterpieces, the Day of the Dead, people working the land, the surrealist garden created by the eccentric Englishman Edward James and some of the monuments both old and new.

Mark Luscombe-Whyte is a British location photographer living in France.
