Join Aperture Conversations alongside the Photography Program at Parsons School of Design at the New School for a special conversation between artist Rahim Fortune and curator Nicole R. Fleetwood. The two will discuss Kinship & Community: Selections from the Texas African American Photography Archive (Aperture and Documentary Arts, 2026) and Fortune’s vivid new photographic essay that takes up the archive’s legacy and places it firmly in the present tense.
Founded in 1985 by Alan Govenar and Kaleta Doolin to advance new perspectives on historical issues and diverse cultures, Documentary Arts is a nonprofit organization based in Dallas and New York
This event is free, but capacity is limited. Attendees should register in advance.
