La deuxième édition annuelle de la New York Portfolio Review était sponsorisée par le New York Times Lens Blog et l’École supérieure de journalisme de l’université de New York. Le co-éditeur du Lens Blog, James Estrin, était accompagné pour cet événement de David Gonzalez, Whitney Boyd, et Matt McCann, parmi d’autres. Les photographes sélectionnés ont eu droit à des revues de portfolio en tête à tête avec certains des plus grands directeurs photo, curateurs, galeristes et éditeurs du milieu.
