It was Jean-Paul Rappeneau who asked me to make a book on the set of the film, « Le Hussard sur le Toit » (« The Horseman on the Roof ») adapted from the work of Jean Giono.
For six months I was part of the team that produced this film.
The book « Le Hussard » Ed du Chêne was released at the same time as the film, autumn 1995.- Hans Silvester
