This 3rd text by Thierry Maindrault is devoted to the Bibbiena biennial. This biennale is organized by the Italian Federation of Photographers Associations [FIAP] and is dedicated to young photographers.
Bibienna is located 60 km from Florence, Tuscany. This small town, in the mountains, is dedicated to photography. All the streets and squares of the city present, through huge panels or multiple banners, the works of the greatest Italian photographers. The place of the biennale is installed in the old prison, near the old town,
President Roberto Rossi and Federation Director General Claudio Pastrone explained that the Federation has more than 40,000 active members. Individually and through many photo clubs, many associations of amateur photographers and collectives. This large number of members reasonably allows the Federation to be very active throughout the country.
