I’m walking straight to Booth 921: Jack Shainman Gallery. Jack Shainman is, in my opinion, one of the best in the business. His program is terribly original. I see the top of the Nick Cave Soundsuit towering over the crowd at the end of the hall. Behind it is a large wall sculpture by Ghanaian artist El Anatusi composed of small flat metal panels. I watch the conversation about African culture, reused materials, intricacy and craftsmanship. [A] Across the aisle is a herd of Lalanne sheep grazing in front of a Vic Muniz collage photograph.
