In the Places of Richard Lassels, Voyage of Italy

In 1670 was published in Paris by Simon Wilson as a posthumous work the book The Voyage of Italy by his friend and fellow traveler Richard Lassels (1603-1668) an English Roman Catholic priest and travel writer. During his life Lassels visited Italy five times, establishing the Petit Tour, which unlike the Grand Tour, excluded from the route France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland and provided a single visit on French soil the city of Paris, and then the first stop in Italy in Turin, continuing to Venice, Pisa, Padua and Bologna and, finally, Rome.

This project is my free interpretation, I have not found any documentation of the actual passage of Lassels from Ivrea to Turin in one of his five trips.

In the photos I have captured the Sirio lakes and the Pistono lake which are part of the Five Lakes Ring of Ivrea (Turin) artistically reinterpreting the landscape.

A friendly greeting and a thousand thanks in every way for your kind attention.
