This season, Le Musée Maillol in France is giving viewers a tour of the artists who have photographed Maillol and his work. The exhibition Maillol et les photographes gathers the work of major photographers like Druet, Brassaï, Ostier, Karquel, Doisneau, Drayer and Horvat, and visitors simply passing through Maillol, like Kessler, Mirbeau, Rewald, Carré and anonymous photographers. Not all of them produced masterpieces, but all of them were able to leave behind a trace of their encounter and their relationship with the sculptor.
