Hans Silvester will be the guest of honour at the fifth Fontvieille Photography Festival.
The festival will open with a screening of the film produced by the Musée Arlaten about Hans Silvester’s exhibition Pétanque, Jeu provençal, presented last summer as part of the Rencontres photographiques d’Arles, followed by an interview with the photographer about his visits to the Hamer people of the Omo Valley, with whom he lived for more than 25 years.
A selection of his ‘jeu de boules’ prints will be on display in the cinema lobby.
