To mark the exhibition Ralph Gibson : La Trilogie, 1970-1974, The Eye of Photography brings you a special edition with a small retrospective of Ralph Gibson’s career. This is a selection of his most beautiful images of this second decade of this century. These are still prolific years with many books, including Infanta, a collection of his erotic photographs of the female nude from as far back as the 1960s; Mono (2013), a return to black and white; Political Abstraction (2015), a series of diptychs in which two apparently single images are printed on a single page, with a large margin which produces an effect of tension.; and The Vertical Horizon, his latest series, in colour, of views between the abstract and the figurative.
